Nominations for Campaspe Shire’s 2022 Australia Day awards are now open.

Mayor Cr Chrissy Weller said these awards are a great opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution many residents provide on a day to day basis.

“We have many residents who volunteer tirelessly for their community, in many instances supporting multiple organisations,” Cr Weller said.

“This is what makes our shire a great place to live.”

Three award categories are available in each of the five local areas of Echuca & district, Kyabram & district, Rochester & district, Rushworth & district and Tongala & district:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Community Group of the Year

This year, we’ve made it easier for residents to nominate a noteworthy citizen or community group. Nominations can now be submitted through the simplified online form on Council’s website.

Nominations close 5pm on Friday, 3 December 2021. Award winners will be presented on Australia Day, 26 January 2022, at Australia Day ceremonies across the shire.
