Calling all bookworms! During summer, Campaspe Libraries will be abuzz with fun for the kids.

Campaspe library branches are participating in Public Libraries Victoria’s summer reading program, Big Summer Read.

All children aged between 4 and 18 are eligible to register in this free reading program. Participants are encouraged to read at least 10 books from now until Monday, 31 January.

When that target’s been reached, children can earn a Big Summer Read sticker and go into the prize draw.

Whether you love picture books, graphic novels, or audio books, all reading material is counted in the tally. To keep track of your reading, register online on the Big Summer Read website and download the Beanstack Tracker app on your mobile device or, alternatively, pick up a reading log booklet from your local library branch.

Beanstack contains activities and challenges, along with a record of your summer reading.

Campaspe Libraries school holiday program will be released soon, with excellent kids activities like art workshops, puppet shows and movie afternoons on offer.

To join in the school holiday program, bookings are essential. In line with State Government guidelines, children over 12 years and 2 months will need to be double vaccinated to attend.

Keep an eye on Campaspe Libraries website and Facebook page for school holiday program dates.
