It's beginning to look like Christmas in Campaspe!

Campaspe Shire Council’s annual Christmas decorations are being installed throughout the shire in the lead-up to the most wonderful time of the year.

Three Illumination Stations will be installed: the Gold Bauble in Echuca, the Big Teddy Bear in Rochester and the Big Santa in Kyabram.

Council’s Director Communities Jo Bradshaw said it was fantastic to have these Illumination Stations installed for the enjoyment of community members and to help them get into the spirit of the festive season.

“The annual Christmas decorations are a festive highlight in our shire, and we’re excited to see the three Illumination Stations installed in Echuca, Rochester and Kyabram.

“We hope Shire residents and visitors alike will enjoy these installations and they help to get you all in the Christmas spirit while also providing some wonderful photo opportunities,” Ms Bradshaw said.

Community members and visitors can also be part of the social media cheer and use the hashtags #ChristmasinCampaspe and #IlluminationStation to be featured on Council’s pages.

“In addition to the Illumination Stations, there are a range of other festive activities happening in the shire, including Santa’s Cave and Yarn Bombing in Kyabram, Christmas Storytime in Gunbower, Reindeers in Rushworth, Christmas Scavenger Hunt in Rochester and so much more,” Ms Bradshaw said.

She thanked the community groups in each of the towns that have worked tirelessly to provide a selection of entertaining and exciting Christmas activities that will appeal to young and old alike.

“We encourage everyone to explore the many decorations and support our communities. Visit any of our Customer Service Centres or the Echuca Moama Information Centre (located at Shop 1 of the Shackell’s Bonded Store on Murray Esplanade) to get our Christmas in Campaspe booklet and enjoy exploring Christmas activities all through December.”
