Council meetings are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. The meeting can be viewed via live streaming on Council’s website, www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/livestreaming 

COVID financial support

Financial support options to assist ratepayers, residents, businesses and community groups in response to the coronavirus pandemic are available on Council’s website via dedicated webpage www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/covidfinance  

Creative Active Recovery Grant

This one-off grant program is now open, providing a maximum of $5,000 to support businesses, community groups or individuals deliver activities or projects before Wednesday, 30 June to support COVID-19 recovery.

Supporting outdoor dining

Campaspe Shire business operators and traders are invited to register their interest for the installation of permanent umbrella sleeves and temporary picket fencing, to activate streetscapes and support the expansion of outdoor dining. Online applications are now available on Council’s website.

Street tree planting

Council’s Street Tree Planting Program will see a number of new trees planted in nature strips, parks and gardens across the shire. Expressions of interest are now open and will close at the end of February. To request a new street tree, or to replace an existing tree, lodge an online application through Council’s website, visit a customer service centre, or call 1300 666 535.

Notice of Intention to Sell Land

Campaspe Shire Council (Council), gives notice under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) of its intention to sell by private treaty the following parcels of land (the Land):

Lot 1 on TP599896R, comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 01458 Folio 451 known as Bendigo-Murchison Road, Runnymede, to Bernard Nihill for a total of $3,850 (GST inclusive).

Crown Allotment 3D, TP764663X, comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 01605 Folio 829 known as McNamara Road, Toolleen, to Francis Truscott for a total of $1,650 (GST inclusive).

The proposed sales will be subject to contractual terms satisfactory to Council.

Any person may make a submission on the proposal to sell the Land.

Any person wishing to make a submission can do so in writing by Friday, 19 February 2021. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the Land, part of the Land or not to sell the Land.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be hand delivered to Council’s Civic Centre at 2 Heygarth Street, Echuca, emailed to [email protected] or posted to the following address:

Submissions received on the proposed sale of the Land may be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Agenda and Minutes.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose), or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

Tender 21002

Echuca, Shared Path Lighting (Re-tendered)
Council is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced contractor for the design, supply, installation and commission of public lighting along a section of Rose Street and Campaspe Esplanade, Echuca. A copy of the documents can be downloaded from Council’s website. Tender closes 2pm, Tuesday, 2 February.

Youth Advisory Group (YAG)

People aged 12 to 25 in Campaspe Shire are invited to apply to join the YAG. Work closely with staff and councillors, advocate for youth affairs, and input into projects and developments.
