Works notice

Stewarts Bridge
Debris will be cleared away from the bridge structure on Wednesday, 5 August. Works will take place from 8am through to approximately 2pm. The bridge will remain open however traffic flow will be restricted at times. Council will endeavour to minimise the disruption as much as possible.

Kyabram Community Plan

The Kyabram community, in partnership with Campaspe Shire, is developing a place based plan to help make Kyabram an even better place to live in the future. We want to know what residents like most about Kyabram. Submissions can be made online at Council’s website under the ‘Open for comment’ section.

Do you have a green bin?

Residents are encouraged to opt into the green bin service, food scraps and garden waste are collected fortnightly and turned into compost at Biomix. The service costs $54.90 per year and comes with a free food scrap caddy. Requests for a green bin service can be lodged online via Council’s website or by calling customer service on 1300 666 535.

Riverfront Property (former kiosk)
14 Watson Street, Echuca
Council is calling for ideas from the community for the potential future use of the vacant riverfront property located at 14 Watson Street, Echuca within the newly developed Riverboat Dock.Council’s preference is for a food and beverage operation, but it is open to ideas for possible alternative use for the property. Any person may make a submission in writing by Wednesday, 12 August. Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be:

  • hand delivered to the Echuca Civic Centre, 2 Heygarth Street;
  • emailed to [email protected]; or
  • mailed to the Chief Executive Officer, Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35 Echuca VIC 3564.

The information collected may be used to inform the development of an Expression of Interest to Lease the property.

Rural Tree Scheme

Rural landowners can now purchase native seedlings for a subsided cost through Council’s annual Rural Tree Scheme. The scheme is a great way for rural landowners to improve their property’s landscape. Orders will be taken up to 1 November, or when the allocated funds have been exhausted. Order forms, including a full list of available species, are available on Council’s website, at customer service centres, or can be mailed out on request.

Seniors Program Grants

Applications are now open to support older residents through this year’s Seniors Program Grants. The program provides funds of up to $1,000 to deliver projects or activities to older citizens. Projects must effectively address social isolation for seniors while adhering to social distancing requirements issued by the State and Federal Governments. Applications are now open, and will close on Friday, 7 August with announcements of successful applicants expected to be made by Friday, 4 September.
