Works Notice

Anstruther Street Footbridge, Echuca

Structural maintenance works will be undertaken on Anstruther Street Footbridge from Tuesday, 19 April. The footbridge will be completely closed off to pedestrians from this date until completion in late June. Pedestrians are encouraged to take alternate routes such as the Eyre Street Footbridge or Warren Street Bridge.

Colbinabbin Cemetery Road Open Drain Renewal

Council invites experienced contractors to submit tenders for works to renew an open drain to the south and west sides of Cemetery Road (near Boldiston Lane) which has been identified as requiring works beyond normal maintenance activities. A copy of the specifications can be downloaded here. Submissions close at 2pm on Monday, 11 April.

Notice of Intention to Discontinue a Road and Sell the Subject Land

Pursuant to Section 206(1) and Clause 3(a) of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), Campaspe Shire Council (Council), proposes to discontinue part of the road in Moore Street, Rochester car park shown hatched on the plan below. Any person may make a submission in respect of the proposed discontinuance. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by Tuesday, 3 May 2022. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may resolve to proceed, proceed with conditions, or not proceed, with the proposed discontinuance of the road. Should Council resolve to proceed with the proposed discontinuance then pursuant to Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Act 2020), Council intends to sell by private treaty the subject land to Major Property Investments Pty Ltd as Trustee for Major Property Investments Unit Trust, the adjoining owner of the subject land for a total of $11,000 (GST inclusive). The proposed sale will be subject to contractual terms satisfactory to Council. Any person may make a submission on the proposal to sell the Land. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by Tuesday, 3 May 2022. All submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 114 of the Act 2020. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the Land, part of the Land or not to sell the Land. Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be delivered to Council’s Civic Centre at 2 Heygarth Street, Echuca, emailed to [email protected] or posted to Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35, Echuca VIC, 3564. Submissions received on the proposed discontinuance or sale of the land may be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Agenda and Minutes. Any person who has made a submission can request in the submission that they wish to appear in person or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, to be heard in support of his or her submission before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose) and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing. Further information regarding the proposal, including a plan of the land, may be obtained from Council’s Property Manager, Sally Ruckwood on 5481 2200.
