Free Grant Writing Workshops
Grant Writing Workshops are now on offer to showcase the core elements of preparing a grant application and how to position yourself for success! The workshop will cover the 'seven pillars' of funding, what to do before you start writing, preparing your case, applying and winning grants and tools and resources. Two sessions are on offer, however the Echuca session has been filled. A wait list is available. The other session will be held at the Bocce Club in Breen Avenue, Kyabram on Tuesday, 14 June between 6 – 8pm. To register for this session or to go on the Echuca session wait list, go to Council’s website.

Free Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses
Youth Mental Health First Aid courses are now on offer, completely free of charge, for residents aged 18 to 25. The course equips participants with the knowledge on how to gain initial help, where and how to get professional help and what sort of help has been shown to be effective. The course is made up of two components; a four hour self-paced interactive module and one full day face-to-face group session. Two group sessions will be provided:

  • Monday, 20 June at the Echuca East Multi-Purpose Building
  • Tuesday, 21 June at the Rushworth Community House

Youth Activity Grants
Youth Activity Grants of up to $500 are now available for schools, clubs, community groups and other organisations to host youth focused events in Campaspe Shire. Youth Activity Grants could be used for a variety of activities; movie or games nights, art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting events, even bus trips. To view the criteria or to apply, go to Council’s website. Applications close on Friday, 17 June at 5pm.

Project Update

Stage 1 of the Fenaughty Street works, from Saunders Street to the old brick pedestrian crossing, have now been completed. Stage 2, the section between Mitchell Street and the crossing, has started.

Kyabram Recreation Reserve Cricket Net Construction
Council requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to construct new practice cricket nets at the Kyabram Recreation Reserve, Unwin Street, Kyabram. A copy of the specifications can be downloaded from Council’s website. Tenders close at 2pm on Tuesday, 21 June.
