Ripple Fest launches website and program

Campaspe Shire Council and Ripple Fest are thrilled to announce the launch of its new website ripplefest.com.au  offering a comprehensive guide to the upcoming festival's diverse events and artist line-up. This vibrant multi-arts festival, supported by Victorian State Government Funding, aims to reconnect and inspire communities following the 2022 flood event in the Campaspe Shire.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell expressed his excitement for the upcoming festival.

“Ripple Fest has an incredible lineup of multidisciplinary events for both artists and art lovers alike.

“Our Arts & Culture team and the community co-design groups have done an absolutely amazing job of coordinating a stellar program. I’m looking forward to attending as many of the events as possible,” he added.

Festival Highlights:

• Aquatic Reserve Event: An immersive experience at Echuca's Aquatic Reserve featuring dance, music, lighting, and projections, creating a mesmerising atmosphere along the riverbanks.
• Rochester Skate Park Activation: A dynamic event showcasing a graffiti wall, workshops, and live music, transforming the skate park into a hub of creativity and energy.
• Fab Gab: Engaging talks and discussions with artists and community members, fostering dialogue and sharing stories that resonate with attendees.
• Projections and Parade: Striking visual projections illuminate Rochester, culminating in a vibrant costume and mask parade that celebrates local artistry and community spirit.
• Dressed to the Thirteens Costume Ball: An elegant evening where attendees don their most creative costumes, enjoying live performances and dancing in a festive atmosphere.

  Ripple Fest proudly features a diverse array of artists across various disciplines, including:

• Festival Artists: A curated selection of performers and visual artists bringing their talents to stages and exhibition spaces throughout the festival.
• Pump House Artists: Contributing to a thought-provoking exhibition at Echuca's Pump House, these artists explore themes relevant to the community and environment.
• Workshop Artists: Skilled practitioners leading interactive sessions in writing, painting, and other creative endeavours, encouraging participant engagement and learning.
• Youth Art Program Artists: Emerging young talents showcasing their work and participating in programs designed to nurture the next generation of artists.

Ripple Fest is a four-day multi-arts festival that unites the communities of Rochester and Echuca through creativity, connection, and celebration. Designed in collaboration with local creatives, the festival features an exciting lineup of events across both towns. In Rochester, attendees can experience striking projections, a costume and mask parade and ball, a dynamic Skate Park graffiti wall event with workshops and live music, music in the pubs, a pop-up shop showcasing local artists, and a variety of creative workshops. In Echuca, the festival offers a thought-provoking exhibition at the Pump House, a special Bangarra Dance Company – Rekindling demonstration, an immersive Aquatic Reserve event featuring dance, music, lighting, and projections, a laser projection at the Port of Echuca, live music in the pubs, an exhibition and closing event at The Foundry Arts Space, and a diverse range of workshops for all creative interests.
