Campaspe Shire Council will close its five customer service centres from Monday, 10 August in response to the Victorian Government’s stage 3 COVID restrictions for regional Victoria.

CEO, Declan Moore said the restrictions focus on suppressing the virus with only four reasons to leave home, for essential shopping, medical care, exercise, and work and education.

“We have phone and online services available for our community and we want to ensure people are not leaving their home when they don’t need to,” Mr Moore said.

“Considerable efforts have been, and continue to be, made by the government and its agencies, businesses and our community to suppress the virus and whilst no direction has been given to close, we consider closing supports this effort.”

The community can still make contact through:

“Our online services have been expanded since February 2019, with requests for service available online. The ability to lodge a request online addresses the need for the community to access services when it suits them,” Mr Moore added.

“Our staff will remain accessible during business hours, by calling our call centre on 1300 666 535.”

Information regarding all Council services, closures or changes to how they are provided, is available through www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/covidservices. The community can subscribe to the page to receive email notifications as changes are made.
