Services opening, with restrictions

With the Victorian Government announcing the easing of restrictions, Campaspe Shire Council will open up a number of services across the coming week, in line with operating directions.
Chief Executive Officer, Declan Moore, said the move to Step Three on the Roadmap to Reopening allows some services to reopen, following directions for restricted numbers, social distancing, and the need to wear a face covering.
“The library will offer a ‘reserve and collect’ service from Monday, 21 September,” Mr Moore said.
“This will allow patrons to select books online, or by phone, and collect the books at a prearranged date and time.”
“Current restrictions do not allow other library services to be opened up at this stage.”
Other services to reopen are:
- Customer service centres, to open from Wednesday, 23 September
- Port of Echuca Discovery Centre, outdoor areas to open from Wednesday, 23 September with a reduced entry fee down to $5 for a guided tour
- Echuca Paddlesteamers, open from Thursday, 24 September, with all passengers required to have a valid NSW border entry permit
For the upcoming school holidays, the Library will be providing a Children’s Book Week StoryBox Activity Booklet, available through an arranged collection, or mailed out. In addition, shortlisted Children’s Book Week Titles, that feature in the activity booklet, will be on Campaspe Regional Library Service Facebook page each weekday at 10.30am.
“The Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre is not able to open at this stage and we will keep the community updated through our website, social media and local papers,” Mr Moore said.
