Get ready to shine at the Glow Up Youth Disco at Fuzion Café in Echuca! Designed for high school-aged youth, this vibrant event features a live DJ, Just Dance sessions, a photo booth, and exciting giveaways. Enjoy free food and drinks in a fun, inclusive atmosphere with fluor decorations and a chill-out space.

Event information

  • Ages: 12-17 years (you may be asked for ID if you appear to be outside this age range)
  • Safety: The event is drug, alcohol, vape, and smoke-free. Supervised by youth workers. No pass-outs allowed meaning once you have left the event you won’t be allowed re-entry.
  • Accessibility: no stairs to access venue, all-gender toilets, and a chill out space
  • Registration: Free entry!

About the event

The Glow Up Youth Disco is an inclusive event designed to provide a safe and engaging space for LGBTQIA+ young people and their allies. With a range of activities, from dancing to a chill-out zone, this event aims to promote fun, networking, and a sense of community. This event has been co-designed by local youth to ensure it truly reflects their ideas and interests.

Q: Is the event free? A: Yes, the event is free for all young people aged 12-17. Registration is required.

Q: Who can come? This event is open to all young people aged 12-17 and we highly encourage allies to show their support

Q: What should I bring? A: Just bring yourself and your ticket (QR code) for entry. All food, drinks, and activities are provided.

Q: Is there a dress code? A: No specific dress code, but we encourage colourful and fun outfits to match the glow-up theme!

Q: How can I get to the event? A: We are providing free buses to and from the event. More details will be available soon.

Q: What if I need a break during the event? A: We have a designated chill-out space where you can relax if the music or activities become overwhelming.

Q: Can I Attend by myself? A: absolutely! Many people will com alone and are looking to make friends. Our crew and volunteers try really hard to make sure everyone’s feeling comfortable. They'll be on the lookout for friendships to facilitate, and to ensure no one looks lonesome.

Q: is this event safe? A: this is a huge and valid concern! This event has:

  • Youth workers and headspaces clinicians to make sure everyone has a safe and supported experience.
  • Trained security and First Aid
  • Strict rules ensuring all events are drug, smoke and alcohol-free.
  • Strict policies ensuring all volunteers and staff comply with child safety laws and checks.

Access and inclusion

This event is:

  • Gender neutral! We’ll always ask your name and pronouns, and toilets are gender-free.
  • Wheelchair accessible!
  • Strictly free from racism and queerphobia.
  • Private! If you don’t want your photo taken, that’s so okay just let the photographers know and they won’t take a photo.
