To alleviate flooding in the area surrounding Ash Street in Echuca, contractors will start the installation of a detention basin adjacent to the Echuca Bowls Club.

The works will begin in February, to be completed in May 2022. 

Works will include:

• Realignment of water and sewer lines (this will have no impact to residential homes water and sewer services)
• Installation of a 3,400 cubic metre detention basin
• Installation of connecting pipes and pits to the High Street stormwater network

Interruption to traffic will occur at various stages during the project. Motorists can expect some minor delays when pipes are being installed across High Street.
