The Kyabram Yarn Bombers group was established in 2020 to help people to overcome the feeling of disconnection from friends and family during the pandemic, whilst working together on a project to benefit the town of Kyabram and the wider community. The aim of the project was to bring visitors into the Central Business District to help retailers and other businesses who were struggling due to covid restrictions. This was achieved and successive years have seen large numbers of visitors to Kyabram to view the decorated trees and continuing to benefit the town.
