Rich River Golf Club goes Batty!

Rich River is going a little batty for a good cause….

Rich River will be going a little batty from Saturday 12th April, but for a good cause when they play host to an officially licensed replica Batmobile made famous in the 1960’s TV series Batman and Robin. This vehicle is over 5 meters in length and comes with a working bat phone, flame throwing rocket exhaust and true the original, this 1966 model has all the Caped Crusaders gadgets. Detective scope, emergency bat turn lever, remote bat computer, just to name a few. Costing half a million dollars to build with bat fan and owner, Peter Robinson waiting seven years for the finished vehicle. Holy smokes Batman!!

Now the good cause… Come and see the Batmobile for yourself and whilst you are there, play some mini golf. From Wednesday 16th April to Friday 18th April Rich River will be donating all proceeds from Mini Golf to the Superheroes Foundation. This foundation providing much needed support to families experiencing financial hardship caused by brain cancer treatments.

“Superheros Foundation covers essential out of pocket costs including, treatment related expenses, medications for side effects, travel to medical appointments, childcare for siblings, hospital parking fees and specialist appointments. Costs can quickly be overwhelming and parents often stop working to care for loved ones, so the foundation is there to support these costs said Ken Jobst – Event Co-Ordinator for Superheroes Foundation”

“Rich River is proud to support the Superheroes Foundation to help raise much needed funds assisting families affected by Brain Cancer. We hope the funds raised from Mini Golf will ease some of the financial costs associated with the treatment they need. This event, leading to a much bigger Charity Golf Day in November this year said Deanne Armstrong – Marketing & Events Manager for Rich River Golf Club.”

Friday 18th April Rich River have their first Scavenger Hunt where Batman and Robin will be making a guest appearance from 5pm. Bookings are essential for the Scavenger Hunt and can be made through the Golf Clubs website.
