This Amendment implements the recommendations of the Echuca South East Rural Living Precinct Structure Plan (the Structure Plan) by amending the schedule to the Rural Living Zone (RLZ) to manage lot sizes across the Amendment area. The Amendment also introduces a Development Plan Overlay (DPO) Schedule 10 to manage and coordinate subdivision and rezones two lots to the Farming Zone (FZ) west of Mary Ann Road.
Council received 21 submissions to the amendment and an Independent Panel was held in Echuca for two days. The Panel heard verbal submissions and read all written submissions, and fundamentally supports the strategic approach that council has taken.
