The community is invited to an information session to contribute local knowledge and experience to feed into a flood study for Kyabram.

Council, with support of the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority and the Victorian State Emergency Service, is undertaking the flood study of Kyabram. The study includes the township and immediate surrounds, including interaction with the Mosquito Depression.

How to comment:

Residents can comment in a number of ways:

  • Drop-in information session - to learn about the extent of the study, provide information in relation to past events and outline any issues associated with flooding in the Kyabram township and immediate surrounds requiring investigation.
  • Online mapping - go online and record where you have seen flooding or drainage problems in the past and mark the locations on the map.
  • Survey - complete the online survey to register your interest in the project and leave information regarding past events

Specialist engineers appointed to undertake the flood study and prepare the flood risk management plan will present an overview and objectives of the proposed study.
