The Road Management Plan has been reviewed, including Register of Public Roads, and is currently on exhibition for community comment. 

The plan ensures that the standards in relation to the inspection, identification and repair of defects on roads and road related infrastructure are safe, efficient and appropriate for use by the community. 

The plan also details council’s road hierarchy, which is based on traffic volumes and the role a road plays within the network, the definition of different types of roads, including arterial, collector, access, sealed, gravel and earth roads, as well as footpaths, bike paths and shared paths, and also how customer requests are dealt with.

A person who has made a submission and requests that they be heard in support of their submission is entitled to appear in person, or be represented by a person acting on their behalf, before a meeting of council. The date, time and place will be advised.
