Applications are now open for people aged 12 to 25 interested in having a voice in local government decision making to join the Youth Advisory Group in 2018.

The Youth Advisory Group was established as a direct result of council's youth leadership program where students from St Joseph's College, Echuca, identified the need for a youth advisory group within the shire.

Appointments to the group will be for one year, with the group to meet monthly during school terms.

The Youth Advisory Group provides young people in the Shire of Campaspe the opportunity to:

  • Network with and learn from other emerging and established leaders in Campaspe Shire
  • The chance to influence community attitudes and social policy
  • Discuss major social issues, including current trends on youth issues
  • Leadership training and mentoring

Applications are open now and close on Friday, 8 December.

To apply:

  1. Read the application guidelines
  2. Fill in the application form, make sure to get your parent or guardian to sign if it you're under 18
  3. Email the form to [email protected] by 8 December

A member of the youth services team will be in touch early in December if you've got an interview.
