New General Manager appointed

Campaspe Shire Council has appointed Fleur Cousins as it new General Manager Corporate Services.

Chief Executive Officer, Mr Jason Russell said he was delighted to confirm Ms Cousins’ appointment from a strong field of candidates to the position.

“She has 16 plus years’ experience in local government at the Knox City Council, having held a number of management roles in environmental health, aged care services, children’s services and other areas,” Mr Russell said.

“Currently Ms Cousins is the Governance and Innovation Manager, which covers the legislative components of the organisation as well as performance reporting, audit and corporate planning.”

“I am confident her broad range of skills and experience from a metropolitan council environment will be beneficial to Campaspe.”

Ms Cousins will relocate her young family to the region before starting the new position on 6 November.

Ms Cousins replaces Ms Diane Hood who recently left the organisation to take up a CEO role at a Northern Territory council.
