Campaspe Shire Council is progressing the final design plans for the Rushworth streetscape, to support the redevelopment of High Street, between Bendigo Murchison Road and Wigg Street.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston said the community was asked to vote for preferences on car park layout, boulevard of trees and capture other comments earlier this year to feed into the final design plans. This was supported by a pop-up street session where staff talked with the community, again to feed information back into the design plans.
“Good response was received from the community which will now inform the final design plans,” Cr Weston said.
“We are on track to present them back to the community by mid July.”
Key elements of feedback included:
- The car park configuration at the north end of High Street
- The number and type of trees to be added
Council looks forward to presenting the detailed plan and delivering a great outcome for the Rushworth community.
