Things to do
Every summer, Girgarre hosts the annual Moosic Muster, drawing people from across the state to the family friendly three-day event.
Girgarre is a small rural township south of Tongala. Its main industries are dairy and tomato production. The town was initially settled as an outstation of an early pastoralist in the area, before being subdivided for closer settlement in the early 1900s.
The district’s population is around 590, with a strong sporting community.
