Things to do
The Kyvalley Hall, Tennis Club and Park and Pool are home to community events throughout the year.
The pool, which is owned and run by the community, is open for public use in the warmer months, with the park available all year round. The tennis club courts are open for public use and the hall is available for hire.
A relaxed Australia Day celebration is held every year at the Park and Pool. For more information, go to http://www.kyvalley.vic.au/
First settled in 1873 by selectors, Kyvalley is a small rural district west of Kyabram. The Tatura to Echuca train line opened in 1887 and passed through the district. The town grew rapidly in the early 1900s, with a tennis club, Presbyterian Church and a hall being built. These were later followed by a pool, which still serves the district’s more than 320 residents.
Once famous for its orchards, Kyvalley is now mainly a dairying district with only a few orchards remaining.
