Guitarist Matthew Fagan’s Vinyl Launch of his Spanish Guitar album El Vito and Guest Latin/Jazz Singer Kellie Grace.
Matthew Fagan has long been established as one of Australia’s finest exponents of the guitar. Matthew has toured with Billy Connolly, The Buena Vista Social Club, Shirley Bassey, Natalie Cole and Michael Crawford.
Recently returned from a European tour of Edinburgh, Seville and Verona, Internationally acclaimed 10-string guitarist Matthew Fagan aka Lord of the Strings! presents a stunning concert of Spanish Flamenco and Spanish classical guitar combining musical passion and virtuosity to celebrate the Spirit of Spain El Vito. Matthew brings together the traditional flamenco elements of Spanish guitar of Paco De Lucia and Paco Pena with the concert masterpieces of composers Isaac Albeniz, Manuel De Falla, Joaquin Rodrigo in stunning new arrangements.
The show also features the colourful and rhythmic sounds of South American Classical and Latin masterpieces. Guest singer Kellie Grace will share vibrant and joyous Brazilian/Latin Bossa Nova Jazz, hit songs including “The Girl from Ipanema”, “Mas que nada” and more.
Highlights from Matthew’s Virtuoso and original albums will also be presented including Matthew’s stunning arrangement of Bach’s Toccata as featured on ABC TV originally arranged for Matthew’s show Lord of the Strings that toured for 53 nights around Australia with Billy Connolly.
