Echuca Moama Discovery Day is approaching! Come along to Echuca Library at 310 Hare St from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, 15 March and discover what Echuca Moama has to offer.

More than 50 community groups, organisations, sports clubs and service groups will be showcasing their services, programs, activities and opportunities to the Campaspe community – particularly those residents who have recently moved to the area, are retired, or are looking to be more involved with their community.

The outdoor lawn area in front of the library will be used for the group displays along with the indoor space, and the day offers the public the chance to have an informal chat with members of the groups present on the day and receive some information about their meetings, activities, events and services.

There will also be free activities on offer, including:

  • A creative workshop held by the Ripple Fest team which invites everyone to help make giant Exquisite Corpses that can be showcased as part of the Ripple Fest arts event from 22-25 May 2025! Do you know what an Exquisite Corpse is? It’s a collaborative artwork made when each participant takes turns in drawing their own part but without knowledge of what the other participants have drawn – making for some hilariously weird and wonderful creations.
  • Free giveaways of sunflower seeds by Campaspe Seed Group, which will also be offering information about its Seed Library.
  • Horticulturalist and educator Craig Castree will give two free talks: Seed-saving and sowing your own seeds, at 10.15am; and, how to use your entire garden as a place to grow food no matter where you live, at 12 noon.
  • Campaspe Aquatics will give a Les Mills Body Balance demonstration at 11.30am.
  • EMFM Radio will be doing a live broadcast from 10am to 1pm.
  • Echuca Lions will be cooking a free sausage sizzle, and there will be free tea and coffee.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell said the event was a great way to make connections and become involved with the Campaspe community.

“Whether you're a newcomer or a lifelong resident, our annual Discovery Day is an excellent opportunity to discover and connect with a diverse range of clubs, groups and services,” Cr Mackrell said.

“This day can help people to participate, volunteer, build connections, and strengthen our community – and everyone is welcome, so don’t miss it!”
