Campaspe Shire has a thriving artistic and cultural community, with participation in the arts ranging from professional practice and being a source of income and employment, through learning and leisure pursuits and community engagement and development. 

Arts and culture are important in building community identity and pride, creating a sense of belonging inspiring community and civic participation, creating a culture of inclusion, contributing to resilient local economies, promoting health and wellbeing, and creating liveable cities and towns.
