Kindergartens

Kindergartens

1. Overview

Council coordinates kindergarten registration for most centres across the shire. When choosing a kindergarten and planning to register your child in a 3 or 4 year old program, we encourage you to attend kindergarten open days to get a feel for the different programs available. There are different registration processes for some kindergartens.

As 3 year old kindergarten is rolled out, and our population grows, demand for both 3 year old and 4 year kindergarten will increase. While additional capacity will be needed to meet this demand, this will vary across the shire.

The Kindergarten Infrastructure and Services Plan(PDF, 1MB) (KISP) estimates the future kindergarten supply of, and demand for, places across our shire through to 2029.
