A free concert for Campaspe Shire seniors will take a journey back in time to the 1960s, with tribute band ‘The Beatlez’ performing at Echuca’s Paramount Theatre on Friday, 30 September.

Mayor Chrissy Weller said the Council-funded concert would support our older residents’ health, wellbeing, and social connection.

“This is a perfect opportunity to come together for a memorable experience, as Beatlemania hits the Paramount Theatre for a one-off show.

“The concert pays homage to the iconic songs and style of The Beatles, providing an authentic experience in sound and costuming, by this internationally acclaimed tribute act.

“Attendees can sing along to the hits they know and love, such as Let It Be, A Hard Day’s Night and Hey Jude.”

Mayor Weller said morning tea would be provided prior to the concert, fostering conversations and friendships between senior people from across our shire.

“It’s particularly important after the social disconnect in the wake of Covid-19, that events like this are readily accessible to older members of our community.

“The concert was funded by Council’s Seniors Program Grants, to provide a fun and unique outing that is not your everyday activity.”

The venue provides 393 seats, including wheelchair spots and disabled access.

Morning tea is at 10am with the concert starting at 11am.

Tickets are required to secure your spot. To book, visit the Paramount Theatre or call 5482 3399.
