The Rochester community is invited to come along to two pop-up sessions to share their big ideas and have input on future ambitions of Rochester’s in its next Place Based Plan.
Campaspe Shire Council Acting Director – Community, Andrew Fletcher said that Council staff will be available for people to come and share their ideas in person.
“We have created multiple opportunities for community members to have input into their next Place Based Plan to obtain the broadest community representation but hosting in person sessions as well as online surveys.
“There will be both weekday and weekend sessions so that people who are working have the option to speak to someone about their ideas for the plan too,” Mr Fletcher added.
In addition to the in-person pop-up sessions or online, residents are encouraged to visit the Rochester Service Centre if they would like assistance in completing the survey.
“If you can’t make it to one of the pop-up sessions, there are also staff available four days per week at our Rochester Service centre who will be happy to assist any residents to access the computer to complete the survey or to print a hard copy for them.
“We saw many fantastic outcomes from Rochester’s first Place Based Plan, such as the Rochester website, the caravan park upgrade and the development of the Wirima Playspace, so we want to encourage as many people as possible to share their ideas for the next Place Based Plan,“ Mr Fletcher said.
There are three $100 RBN Dollar vouchers to spend at local business to be won by submitting a survey.
The two pop up sessions are as follows:
- Wednesday, 24 May from 10am – 2pm outside Majors IGA, Gillies Street.
- Saturday, 27 May from 10am – 2pm, Rochester Recreation Reserve at the Rochester Mansfield Football match and family day.
