Council is now offering Japanese Encephalitis Virus vaccinations. You must meet the eligibility criteria as set by the Department of Health, which can be viewed by visiting www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/mosquitoes

If you are feeling unwell or have any cold or flu like symptoms, you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Refer to Council’s website for more information.

Tender C22060 – Echuca Holiday Park Playground Design and Construction

Council seeks submissions from experienced contractors for the design and construction of a playground at the Echuca Holiday Park. A non-compulsory briefing will be held for potential tenderers (subject to evacuation orders on the Echuca Holiday Park being lifted) at 11am on Tuesday, 29 November, meeting on site. Tender documents can be downloaded from Council’s website. Submissions must be made via the eProcure portal no later than 2pm on Wednesday, 14 December.

Australia Day Awards
Nominations for the 2023 Australia Day Awards are now open and close Friday, 2 December. The awards reward and recognise individuals that have made a noteworthy contribution and have given outstanding service to our community. This year’s awards contain three categories – Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year. Complete the simple online application via Council’s website, under ‘Now Open’.

Domestic Violence Stops Here

You’re invited to join us in a community event that says NO to domestic violence. As part of 16 Days of Activism, we need to raise awareness and make a stand against domestic violence.

Sandbag Removal

Contractors are yet to start collecting sandbags, however you can register your property address to ensure it’s on the collection list. For now, please put sandbags on your nature strip and complete the registration. 

Footbridge Closed

The Eyre Street / Elizabeth Street Footbridge is closed until further notice. Inspections have been conducted at both Eyre Street and Anstruther Street footbridges and the Eyre Street Footbridge was found to be structurally unsafe. It is closed until further investigations and works can be conducted. Anstruther Street Footbridge is structurally safe, however lighting cannot be reinstated until we can safely access the power supply and assess any electrical damage.

If you pay your rates in instalments, the second instalment is due on Wednesday, 30 November. You can pay this instalment via Council’s website, BPay or BPay View, by visiting a Customer Service Centre, or by calling 1300 666 535. For those residents facing financial difficulties, we encourage you to contact Council to discuss your options as soon as possible. We will work with you to ensure that your payment options will not cause any undue stress.

Farmers Community Connect Day

Rapid Relief Team are heading to Rochester to host a Farmers Community Connect Day on Thursday, 15 December. Set up at the Rochester Football Oval from 7am – 3pm, the day will include donations of feed tested A grade hay, free barbeque lunch, barista coffee and access to support services including mental health support, rural financial counselling, and veterinary support.
