Annual Report 2020/21

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1989, Council gives notice that it has submitted its Annual Report for the year ending 30 June 2021 to the Minister for Local Government and will consider the report at its meeting on Wednesday, 20 October. The Annual Report incorporates the financial statements, performance statements and Auditor General reports. A copy of the Annual Report will be available on Council's website after 30 September.

Draft Campaspe Tomorrow 2040

Following an extensive engagement program from February to May this year, Council has released a draft of the long-term strategic plan, Campaspe Tomorrow 2040. The plan highlights six key themes, then documents the priorities for each theme. Full details are available on Council’s website, with comments closing Friday, 8 October.

Tender 21049

Supply and Delivery of Track Mounted Jaw Crusher

Council is seeking tenders for the supply/lease and delivery of a track mounted jaw crusher for their quarry operations.

Rate Instalment Due Soon

Ratepayers who pay their rates in instalments are reminded the first instalment for 2021/22 is due on Thursday, 30 September.

Council has endorsed renewed financial measures to assist ratepayers in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Full details are available on Council’s website.

For rate payments, Council has waived interest on any rates debt for the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. Any ratepayer facing genuine financial hardship in paying their rates is urged to contact Council as soon as possible to discuss their individual circumstances.

Notice of Intention to Sell Land

Council gives notice under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act) of its intention to sell by private treaty the following parcels of land (the Land):

  • Lot 17 on PS724007Y, comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 12001 Folio 891 known as 16 Kuhle Road, Kyabram, to Andrew John Allan and Mikala Allan for a total of $77,000.00 (GST inclusive).
  • Lot 1 TP114017K, comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 9726 Folio 868 known as 32 Ramsay Street, Rochester, to Nadine Taylor for a total of $10,500.00 (GST inclusive).

The proposed sales will be subject to contractual terms satisfactory to Council.

Any person may make a submission on the proposals to sell the Land. Any person wishing to make a submission can do so in writing by Friday, 29 October. All submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 114 of the Act. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the Land, part of the Land or not to sell the Land.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be delivered to Council’s Civic Centre at 2 Heygarth Street, Echuca, emailed to [email protected] or posted to Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35, Echuca, 3564.

Submissions received on the proposed sale of the Land may be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Agenda and Minutes.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose) or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
