Works Notice

McEvoy Bridge, Cornella

Works to remove McEvoy Bridge across Cornella Creek on Peter McEvoy Road are underway. The creek banks and surrounding areas will be revegetated once the bridge has been removed. Works will take about four weeks to complete.

A large amount of the bridge timber will be given to the Colbinabbin Men’s Shed for use in community projects.

Notice of Intention to Sell Land

Council gives notice under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act) of its intention to sell by private treaty the following parcels of land (the Land):

  • Lot 1 TP649785B comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 09949 Folio 150 and Lot 3 PS116092 comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 09146 Folio 672, known as 60 Campaspe Street, Rochester, to Rochester Senior Citizens Club Inc. for a total of $110.00 (GST inclusive); and
  • Lot 10 PS610775L comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 11084 Folio 124 and Lot 11 PS610775L comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 11084 Folio 125 known as 20-22 Malloy Street, Rochester, to Slice Dice & Shred Pty Ltd as Trustee for Slice Dice & Shred Unit Trust for a total of $55,000.00 (GST inclusive).

The proposed sales will be subject to contractual terms satisfactory to Council.

Any person may make a submission on the proposals to sell the Land. Any person wishing to make a submission can do so in writing by Wednesday, 3 August 2022. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 114 of the Act. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the Land, part of the Land or not to sell the Land.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be delivered to Council’s Civic Centre at 2 Heygarth Street, Echuca, emailed to [email protected] or posted to Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35, Echuca, 3564.

Submissions received on the proposed sales of the Land may be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Agenda and Minutes.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of their submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose) or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors to undertake the clearance of vegetation from powerlines in the areas of Echuca, Kyabram and Rochester.

Project Update

Works are underway on Fenaughty Street, Kyabram, replacing the gutters, drainage, road surface and minor footpath works, on the section between Saunders and Mitchell Streets.
