Project Updates
Bridge and approach barriers have been installed on Quirks Bridge, Bangerang Road, Echuca East.
A splitter island at the Sutton Street / McKinlay Street intersection in Echuca has been completed, funded through the State Government’s Blackspot Program.
2021-22 Budget Adopted
The 2021-22 Budget was adopted by Council on Wednesday, 16 June. The Budget may be viewed on, or downloaded from, Council’s website.
Expressions of Interest
Audit & Risk Committee
Expressions of Interest are sought for:
Two external full members (1 to commence immediately and 1 to be appointed from 31 December 2021) to participate on the Campaspe Shire Council’s Audit & Risk Committee, which is a committee of Council that provides independent and objective advice on matters relating to financial and performance reporting, governance, risk, internal controls and accounting disclosures.
Criteria for appointment is experience and/or qualifications in at least one of the following areas: accounting, auditing, risk management, governance or public sector executive management. Independent members are appointed to the committee for a term of up to 4 years and receive a small allowance.
One external affiliate member (to be appointed from 31 December 2021) to participate on the Campaspe Shire Council’s Audit & Risk Committee. The criteria for the appointment of an external affiliate member will be relevant skills, qualifications and experience as for full members and lives and works within the Shire of Campaspe. Applications for the position of affiliate member must be accompanied with a letter of support from a senior colleague. Affiliate members are appointed to the committee for a term of up to 2 years.
Expressions of Interest should detail the background of the applicant and nominate which position is being applied for and must be in writing, addressed to Chief Executive Officer, Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35, Echuca Vic 3564, by Friday, 16 July 2021. A selection panel will interview applicants prior to making any recommendation for appointment to Council.

Tender 21033
Wet and Dry Hire of Plant and Equipment
Council invites tenders from interested contractors to establish a panel for the provision of wet and dry hire of plant and equipment.

Notice of Intention to Sell Land
Council gives notice under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act) of its intention to sell by private treaty the following parcel of land (the Land):
- Lot 1 on PS123595, comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 09361 Folio 360 known as 65-91 Denmark Road, Echuca, to Feldbauer Family Trust for a total of $896,500.00 (GST inclusive).
The proposed sale will be subject to contractual terms satisfactory to Council.
Any person may make a submission on the proposal to sell the Land. Any person wishing to make a submission can do so in writing by Friday, 6 August 2021. All submissions will be considered in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the Land, part of the Land or not to sell the Land.
Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be delivered to Council’s Civic Centre at 2 Heygarth Street, Echuca, emailed to [email protected] or posted to Campaspe Shire Council, PO Box 35, Echuca, 3564.
Submissions received on the proposed sale of the Land may be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Agenda and Minutes.
Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose) or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

New bin collection services
Changes to Campaspe’s kerbside bin collection services for residential, commercial and rural properties came into effect from Monday, 5 July.

Rural Tree Scheme
Rural landowners can now purchase native seedlings for a subsidised cost through Council’s annual Rural Tree Scheme. The scheme is a great way for rural landowners to improve their property’s landscape. Orders will be taken up to 1 November, or when the allocated funds have been exhausted. Order forms, including a full list of available species, are available on Council’s website, at customer service centres, or can be mailed out on request.
