Rushworth to host exciting pool party for young people!

Campaspe Shire Council is thrilled to announce an exciting pool party on Friday, December 20, designed specifically for young people aged 10-17. This vibrant event will take place at the Rushworth Pool from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and will feature music, engaging activities, and the chance to win prizes!

Proudly supported by FReeZA, a Victorian Government initiative, this event provides a safe and fun environment for young people to gather and celebrate their achievements as the school year ends. Every attendee will enjoy free registration, along with a complimentary ice cream, drink, and a sausage sizzle!

The event will be held on Taungurung Country. Council is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all participants; the Rushworth Pool Party will be fully supervised by trained youth workers and qualified lifeguards. The event is drug, alcohol, vape, and smoke-free. For added comfort, a chill-out space will be available.

Anglicare’s Keep in Touch (KIT) Van, a mobile mental health service will also be attending to provide support to attendees if needed.

Director Communities Jo Bradshaw encourages all young people to join for an afternoon of fun, friendship, and festivities.

“We are excited to offer an event that not only celebrates the end of the school year but also fosters community spirit and connection among our young people and their families,” said Ms Bradshaw.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to accompany younger attendees (under 12 years old) to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. If your young person wishes to purchase extra snacks from the canteen, please ensure they bring some money.
