Project 1 - Replacing shade sails - Completed.
Project 2 - Installation of new accessible public toilets.
Three ageing public amenities are set for replacement across the Shire.
One of the new fully accessible ‘modular’ amenities will be installed at Lions Park in Rushworth. There will be a total of five cubicles including four unisex ambulant, one unisex accessible cubicle. The new amenities will be clad in Colorbond, with the colour specified to suit each location.
The modular design enables the amenities to be fabricated and assembled in the factory, and then craned into position on site, minimising the time that the amenities are out of action for the community.
There is an alternative public amenity a short walk away. Council will install signs during construction advising of this alternative location.
Accessible parking and footpaths will also be installed.
These works have been funded by the Federal Governments Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
Project 3 - The project is for the upgrading of a pavement and parking area adjacent to Lions Park off Station Street. The works will include drainage and sealing of the parking area and the provision of one parking space for use by people of all abilities. Click here(PDF, 6MB) to view a the proposed design.
