Campaspe Shire Council’s Recovery Hub is pleased to announce that Dr. Rob Gordon, clinical psychologist and leading expert in disaster recovery and trauma psychology, will be presenting in Echuca and Rochester. He is recognised for his contributions to disaster recovery and his compassionate approach to trauma counselling.

Dr. Gordon has over 30 years of experience in the field of disaster psychology and has provided support and guidance to communities affected by numerous natural disasters, including floods, bushfires, and cyclones. His expertise has been instrumental in helping individuals and communities navigate the challenging path to recovery and resilience.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos encouraged the wider community to attend to listen to Dr. Rob Gordon share his extensive knowledge and experience.

 "Dr Gordon’s insights will be invaluable as we continue to support one another and rebuild our lives following the 2022 and 2024 floods, as well as the many challenges that we face in our everyday lives.

“His presentations are aimed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies to support not just those affected by floods in our community, but for anyone who has undergone traumatic experiences,” said Mayor Amos.

These events are free and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions about their experiences and concerns. The events will be attended by Council’s Recovery Team who will also provide resources and information on local support services available for flood-affected individuals and families.

Thursday, 30 May, 8.30-10.30am, Rochester Shire Hall, Mackay Street, Rochester.
