Campaspe Shire Council’s Recovery Hub services are set to relocate from Friday, 30 May and transition into new arrangements to continue to support the community through recovery. From Monday 2 June, Council’s Recovery Officers will be available from several Council locations across the shire, including the Rochester Service Centre.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell said that there has been decreasing demand for services from the Campaspe Recovery Hub located in Rochester in recent months.

“More than two and a half years on from the October 2022 flood event, many government departments and community agencies have now transitioned their recovery operations to alternative delivery models.

“Council has also implemented new arrangements for Council recovery support,” he said.

The engagement of the Coordinator of Relief, Resilience and Recovery will see ongoing support in recovery, resilience and relief across the municipality. Services that had previously operated out of the Hub on Mackey Street, Rochester including Anglicare Victoria’s Recovery Support Program and Financial Counsellors will be available at the Rochester Service Centre.  Should additional services be required, the Recovery officers will be able to arrange a referral to the following services:

  • Greater Bendigo, Loddon and Campaspe’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Local
  • EACH Small Business Financial Counselling
  • Headspace
  • Stride
  • ARC Justice
  • Rural Aid

Council’s Recovery Officers can also be contacted via email to [email protected] or by phone to 1300 666 535.

“Council is committed to supporting the ongoing recovery needs of the community and our teams are here to assist as always,” Cr Mackrell said.
