Project update
Works have begun on the Rushworth section of the Waranga Rail Trail. This stage of the project will install a 1km asphalt path from High Street to the Bendigo - Murchison Road crossing and will be completed in July. The remaining 10km of gravel track and works on the seven bridges along the trail will go to tender soon. The project received funding from the Australian Government under Local Roads and Community Infrastructure and Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant programs.

Library Strategy Survey
We want to hear your opinions, thoughts and ideas about our library service. Please complete this short survey to assist us to plan for the future and understand what we need to do to improve our services and resources. Paper versions are also available at all of our libraries and depots. In addition to the survey, the library will host a series of "Listen at the Library" sessions, where residents can drop in to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns directly with renown library consultants, Ian and Jacqui Phillips as well as library staff. Youth Mental Health First Aid
We are offering free, accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid courses, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to help adolescents experiencing mental health problems. We are subsidising the cost of this course thanks to the Victorian Government's ‘Engage' and Emergency Recovery Victoria’s Recovery Hub Program funding. You can register for any of the sessions being held in Echuca, Rochester (in person) or Kyabram and Rushworth (blended online and in person) during June. If you need more information or assistance, contact our Youth Community Development Officer.

Reconciliation Week Community Walk
Monday, 27 May, 10 - 11:30am starting at Alton Reserve - Hare Street, Echuca
Join as one community for a Reconciliation Week Walk and gather together to unite and celebrate our cultural differences and diversity with respect and acceptance through acknowledgement of our combined histories. The event will begin with a Smoking Ceremony, we will then start our walk along Hare Street down to the historical Port of Echuca and onto the Hopwood Gardens for a Welcome to Country and Guest speakers.
Road Closure - Reconciliation Week Community Walk
The Reconciliation Week Community Walk will be conducted on Hare Street (from Alton Reserve to Radcliffe St) and Murray Esplanade on Monday, 27 May from 10 – 11.30am. Road Closures and detours will be in place, however access to private property will be maintained.
Dr Rob Gordon – FREE Community Presentations
Our Recovery Hub presents Dr. Rob Gordon, clinical psychologist and expert in disaster recovery having supported communities following the Port Arthur Massacre, Bali Bombings, the Christchurch earthquakes, and major floods, cyclones and fires. There will be two sessions held in Echuca and Rochester. Everyone is welcome to come along and listen to Dr Gordon’s insights.

Campaspe Animal Shelter Adoption Drive

Red Cross Volunteer Information Session
The Red Cross are holding an information session for people interested in volunteering for their Emergency Services Team who help people prepare for and respond to emergencies, and support people and communities through their recovery.
