In early 2024, Council sought input from the community regarding individual projects to the value of $50,000 from across the Shire for inclusion in the 2024/25 budget.

Council received an overwhelming response to this open request, with a number of smaller projects such as shade, hydration stations and seating appearing to be high priorities.

Officers reviewed the submissions and proposed a number of projects for inclusion which were then endorsed during the budget process.

Current activities:

Seating and barbecue (procurement underway): Vic Park Boat Ramp. 

Shade Sails / Umbrellas (delivery underway): Rushworth Skate Park, Colbinabbin Tennis Club, Echuca Apex Park, Kyabram Pool, Poplar Avenue Park Kyabram, Rochester Skate Park.

Hydration stations: Rushworth Lions Park (pending Vic Track permission), Echuca District Netball Association (ordered).

Design/Feasibility/Scoping Activities: Public Amenities, Public Art, Water Splash Park.
