This project will redevelop exhibitions in the Discovery Centre Museum to enhance visitor experience.

Project works will include:

  • Refurbishment of the log slip and digital audio of this exhibit
  • Installation of digital audio recordings in the PS Success exhibit
  • Refurbishment of Strathmerton Station and the A2 Locomotive exhibit
  • Development of Aboriginal interpretive exhibits, including a mural, museum display and digital audio 
  • Installation of interpretive games for children at the Cargo Shed
  • Refurbishment of interpretive signage and digital displays for exhibits at indoor and outdoor museums
  • Enhancement and digital audio of the steam garage display
  • Installation of an audio loop at the Discovery Centre Museum

This project is funded by Regional Development Victoria.

All works have been completed excluding the Strathmerton Station and Log Slip upgrades.

The Strathmerton Station upgrade is underway and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2024. The Log Slip works will commence upon receival of the NSW heritage approval.
