Empower yourself to support young people in mental health crises and challenges. Join our free, accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid courses, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to help adolescents experiencing mental health problems. Our comprehensive courses are offered in various formats, including two-day in-person workshops and blended learning options with online modules followed by a day of in-person training. Campaspe Shire Council is subsidising the cost of this course (normally up to $350 per person) thanks to the Victoria State government ‘Engage Funding’ and by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria’s Recovery Hub Program in response to the October 2022 flood event.

In-person Workshops - Lockington, Rochester and Echuca 

Spend two days learning crucial mental health first aid strategies in a supportive environment. Workshops will be from 9am – 5pm both days with a catered lunch.

Blended Learning (Online and in-person) - Kyabram and Rushworth

This blended format begins with a comprehensive self paced online module completed in your own time (5 - 7 hours), capped off by a day of practical, in-person training from 9am - 5pm with a catered lunch. Please contact Council's Youth Community Development Officer if you need assistance accessing the internet and a computer to complete the online module.  Registrations for the blended sessions close 5pm Thursday, 14 June. Details of the two available sessions are below.
