PROJECT 1- Netball court and lighting

The Federal Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program has approved $750,000 funding for the design and construction of one new netball court at Kyabram Oval. The existing court is not complaint in accordance with Netball Victoria guidelines.  Design was completed in 2022 with construction to be delivered by 30 June 2023.

PROJECT 2 - Kyabram Recreation Reserve Old Toilet Block Demolition

This project is for the demolition of the old toilet block located at the southern end of the Kyabram Recreation Reserve with a budget of $35,000. The old toilet block is obsolete, with a public toilet block located at the northern end of the facility and a public toilet block located in the market gardens on Allan Street, both capable of servicing users of the Recreation Reserve.

PROJECT 3 - Various other infrastructure

The Wilf Cox Pavilion is in sound structural condition but has non-compliant components such as disability access, internal toilets, no netball changerooms and changeroom football facilities that are not female friendly.

The building also requires new flooring, tiling, kitchen and painting.

This project will undertake a review of the existing plans, identify refurbishment versus demolition and construction of a new single level facility. The budget for the design phase is $100,000.

Stage 1 - Design - underway.

Stage 2 - Construction - yet to be funded / grant dependent.
