The Victorian Government is providing free disaster waste disposal to Campaspe Shire residents until 30 April 2024.

Residents who were impacted by disaster, including fires, storms and energy emergencies from 13 February onwards are able to dispose of their excess disaster waste at any of the eight Resource Recovery Centres in the shire.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said he’s thankful to the Victorian Government for providing assistance to affected residents and helping them with their cleanup efforts.

“Our community has been hit hard by natural disasters over the last few years. Having the free waste disposal is a great way to help support the community in cleaning up their properties and getting back on their feet.

“When residents use the service, they will need to take a proof of residents with them. A drivers license or rates notice should do the trick.

“Just a reminder that the free disposal only extends to disasters that happened after 13 February,” Cr Amos said.
