Virtual meeting to be conducted online
Council meetings are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. The meeting can be viewed via live streaming on Council’s website, www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/livestreaming
Service changes
With the State Government’s announcement to move to stage 3 restrictions, the following Council services and public spaces have been closed:
- Customer service centres
- Library branches and depots
- Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre (EWMAC)
- Port of Echuca Discovery Centre
- Playgrounds, skateparks & outdoor gym equipment
- Sport stadiums
- Resale shops only at transfer stations (stations remain open as normal)
In addition to closures, the following also applies:
- Animal Shelter services by appointment only
- Immunisations by appointment only
- Maternal and Child Health phone consultations available with face to face consults restricted
- Kerbside bin collections continue as normal

Grants – Now Open
Closing Friday, 18 September. Guidelines and online applications are available on Council’s website:
Community Grants
Round two of the Community Grants Program is now open with $75,000 available to support community groups, clubs and associations with a broad range of projects. A maximum of $4,000 per application to support the delivery of programs, projects and activities that encourage local residents to become more involved in their community.
Business Assistance Grants
Round one of the Business Assistance Grants are now open with $25,000 available to support businesses in four categories:
- Start up/new – maximum $3,000
- Small business – maximum $5,000
- Medium business – maximum $10,000
- Large business – maximum $15,000
Ongoing Grant Programs
The following funding programs are open across the year:
- Responsive grants – maximum $1,000, supporting community groups with urgent needs
- Donations – maximum $500, supporting community groups outside other funding programs
- Junior development grants – funding to support individuals aged under 18 selected for state and international representation
- Community event sponsorship – maximum $5,000 cash and in kind support, to support groups and organisations in coordinating local and regional events
- Business and commercial events sponsorship – supporting events which charge an admission fee
Criteria applies for each funding program with full details available on Council’s website including an online application form.
Expression of Interest (EOI)
20029 – Echuca East Community Precinct Stage 1 – community centre, playground and carpark.
Council is seeking contractors to submit expressions of interest for Stage 1 of the Echuca East Community Precinct Project. Stage 1 consists of the construction of a community centre, playground and carpark. Only contractors who lodge an EOI will be eligible for assessment and an opportunity to progress to the tender stage. The documents can be downloaded from Council’s website
Kyabram Community Plan
The Kyabram community, in partnership with Campaspe Shire, is developing a place based plan to help make Kyabram an even better place to live in the future. We want to know what residents like most about Kyabram. Submissions can be made online at Council’s website under the ‘Open for comment’ section.
