Campaspe Shire Council is excited to announce Youth GO! Grants are now open.

The grant program is designed to help young people by providing funding to support a range of activities and events focused on those residents aged 12-25 across Campaspe.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said it is a great opportunity for Council to assist young people in activating their ideas and promoting social connection and positive wellbeing.

“This program is an extension of our ongoing commitment to the youth of our community. It’s a fantastic opportunity to empower young people, providing them with the opportunity to plan, deliver and attend various activities and events and make a positive impact in our community.”

Campaspe Youth GO! Grants are a key outcome of the state government’s Engage! funding, which aims to promote youth participation, development and celebration across the Shire.

Grants are available up to $1,000 and can be used for a variety of youth-led activities and events, such as movie nights, art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting events or bus trips.

In applying for the grants, criteria include:

  • events must be alcohol, smoke and drug free
  • events are to be accessible to all young people
  • events must be based in Campaspe Shire, and held prior to 10 November 2024

”We recognise the value of young people’s contributions to our shire and the importance of empowering them to actively participate in shaping their community. We are excited to help them realise their full potential through this grant program,” Cr Amos said

Applications will be assessed by Council’s Youth Action Group and applicants will be advised of the outcome
