Adopting a pet is a rewarding experience.
Why adopt an animal?
By adopting, you help give a friendly animal a new lease on life. This helps to reduce the number of dogs and cats that are euthanased across Australia each year simply because they have not been able to find a loving home.
The Campaspe Animal Shelter aims to rehome as many animals as possible. All healthy animals with suitable temperaments are made available for adoption.
Before you adopt

After you adopt
Campaspe Shire Council encourages responsible pet ownership, which is in the best interests of the pet, the owner and the community. The After adoption fact sheet(PDF, 1MB) gives some basic pointers on animal care and your obligations as a pet owner.
While all our adopted animals will leave the shelter microchipped and desexed, dogs and cats need to be registered with council.
