Campaspe Shire Council has made amendments to eight public and private land areas as part of the Planning Scheme Amendment C110.
The Planning Scheme provides a clear and consistent framework for which decisions on land use and development are made. The amendment applies to eight parcels of land in Echuca, Rochester, Kyabram and Tongala.
The amendment includes errors identified following the introduction of the new Campaspe Planning Scheme format, rezoning required as council disposes of surplus land and changes required to enable growth of existing cemeteries.
The amendment is now on public exhibition until 3 September to allow those affected by the proposed amendment to familiarise themselves with the content, seek clarifications, and to provide comments for council consideration.
A ‘drop in’ community information session has also been scheduled to allow one-on-one consultations with landowners regarding the proposed amendment. Details:
Tuesday, 14 August
5.30 – 6.30pm
Kyabram Community Learning Centre
21-25 Lake Road Kyabram
In addition to the information session, council staff will be available to discuss the amendment during the exhibition period by calling council (1300 666 535) to arrange an appropriate meeting time.
