Council Policy 131 – Social Media

Campaspe Shire Councillors have adopted the revised Council Policy 131 – Social Media.

First adopted in 2011, the policy provides an understanding and guidance for the appropriate use of social media platforms and tools by councillors, staff (permanent, temporary or casual), contractors, agents and volunteers for the purpose of conducting council business.

The policy also ensures council is appropriately represented through the use of social media.

The purpose of the review is to ensure that the strategic direction, priorities and intent of the Plan remains appropriate for the remainder of the term of council. No changes were made to the Council Plan.

The Council Plan is available on council’s website.
